Preferred Filming Conditions
To ensure the highest quality results, we strongly recommend filming when the yacht is not actively chartered and owners or guests are not onboard.
Why We Don’t Recommend Shooting During a Live Charter or with Guests Onboard:
- Limited Access: It's difficult to film uninterrupted or stage shots when guests are using the space.
- Privacy Concerns: Guests and owners may feel uncomfortable or require their privacy, limiting the scope of content we can capture.
- Creative Limitations: Filming requires controlled lighting, precise staging, and time to set up shots — which can’t be done efficiently during a live experience.
- Reduced Quality: Rushed or restricted filming often leads to compromised visuals that don’t fully showcase the yacht’s potential.
Our Recommended Setup:
- Shoot with only our production team and the yacht crew onboard.
- This allows us to carefully manage lighting, positioning, and staging without disruption.
- If desired, we can bring in professional models or stage lifestyle scenes to simulate the charter experience authentically and tastefully.
Crew Participation as Lifestyle Models (Optional)
To enhance the lifestyle aspect of the shoot without requiring outside talent, we offer the option to use yacht crew members as stand-in models for select scenes.
Use of Crew as Models
- Purpose: To illustrate the charter experience (e.g., use of water toys, service moments, and relaxed onboard leisure).
- Framing: We film crew in ways that typically do not show their faces, portraying them as guests enjoying amenities or receiving service. This preserves anonymity while achieving a realistic, aspirational look.
- Typical Scenarios:
- Launching and using water toys (jet skis, seabobs, paddleboards)
- Casual moments such as a crew member relaxing in the Jacuzzi
- Service interactions, such as a drink being delivered or a towel being handed
Model Releases & Wardrobe
- Model Release Forms: All participating crew members will be required to sign a standard model release form, ensuring full legal protection for the yacht owner, charter company, and future use of the footage.
- Wardrobe Discussion: To maintain brand alignment and appropriateness, wardrobe choices for staged scenes will be discussed and approved in advance of the shoot date.
